About Us - The Israel Nature and Parks Authority

Vision

The INPA safeguards the values of nature, landscape and heritage, and connects people and places by cultivating feelings of affinity and belonging to the Land of Israel in the spirit of the values of the Declaration of Independence.

  • The INPA protects nature – including natural habitats, ecosystems and the biodiversity – in nature reserves, national parks and open spaces.
  • The INPA works to preserve and maintain  distinct elements of the appearance of different regions of the country for all the inhabitants of Israel while maintaining a balance between economic, social, cultural and environmental needs.
  • The INPA works to preserve the values of  heritage and culture in national parks and nature reserves while fostering these sites, presenting them and making them accessible to the public.
  • The INPA believes in the connection of people to the values of nature, landscape and heritage, and works to include, educate and bring the public closer to these values.
  • The INPA is a partner in shaping national policy for preserving values of nature, landscape and heritage now and for future generations in collaboration with colleagues in Israel and abroad.
