Making a reservation for a visit

Directions for digitally reserving visits to nature reserves and national parks

Due to the coronavirus crisis, restrictions have been placed on numbers of visitors at sites at any given time as well as on duration of visit.

In order for everyone to enjoy their visit to national parks and nature reserves, under the current restrictions visits must conform to Health Ministry directives, and must be reserved online ahead of time.

There is no charge for making the reservation. Entry to the site is upon payment of the fee for that site.

Reserve with a click

A. Click on the desired site from the list of sites appearing below .
When the page opens of the site that you have selected to visit, reserve a date and time and state the number of visitors in your party.

B. When you complete the reservation, confirmation of the date of your visit will appear immediately and will be emailed to you – keep this confirmation.

C. You may purchase entry tickets at the site cashier’s booth or, for your convenience, you can continue the process and purchaseonline tickets that will be valid for one year.
If you’re a Matmon Club member or entitled to a discount, please do not continue to online ticket purchase. Show the required documentation at the site cashier’s booth and arrange payment, if required, according to your eligibility.

Please note: When you arrive at the site, you’ll need to present confirmation of your reservation.
You’ll need to arrive with your confirmations at the date and time reserved for your visit and leave the site at the end of the time allotted. For the protection of everyone’s health, entry to sites will not be permitted without confirmation of your reservation.

Step 2: For your convenience, online ticket purchase
(this step is not required. You may purchase tickets at the site cashier’s booth):

A. Click on the ticket purchase link, which appears on your reservation confirmation.
B. Fill out the requested information and purchase the number of tickets according to the number of places your reserved.
C. You will receive confirmation of payment by email. Keep this payment confirmation email to show at the site – and enjoy your visit!

FAQ

Why do I need to reserve my visit ahead of time?

In keeping with the Health Ministry directives to fight the spread of the coronavirus, restrictions have been imposed on maximum numbers of visitors at any given time at the Authority’s sites, as well as on duration of visit. To allow as many people as possible to enjoy their visit, visits must be reserved ahead of time. The permitted duration of the visit at each site is noted when a reservation is made.

Entry is permitted only to people who present their reservation, and only at the time noted on it.

What happens if I arrive at a site without making a reservation

Unfortunately, entrance to the site is not permitted without a reservation. You’ll need to present the necessary confirmations at the cashier’s booth at the site. Please avoid disappointment and make a reservation by a quick and user-friendly process.

What confirmations do I need to bring with me to the visit?

When you arrive at the site, you’ll need to present confirmation of your reservation.

Please note: You’ll need to arrive with your confirmations at the time reserved for your visit and leave the site at the end of the time allotted. The time allotted for a visit at each site appears on the page when you make your reservation.

For the protection of everyone’s health, entry to sites will not be permitted without confirmation of your reservation.

We are Matmon Club members. How do I complete the shorter reservation process in my case?

Matmon Club members are entitled to free entry at some 60 national parks and nature reserves. But club members also need to make a reservation online.
You will need to present your reservation at the cashier’s booth of the site, along with an ID and a Matmon card.
At sites where Matmon Club members are entitled to only a discount on their entry fees, the additional charge will be paid at the cashier’s booth.

Why can’t I make a reservation more than two weeks ahead?

Reservations can’t be made more than two weeks ahead of your visit because Health Ministry directives are updated every day. Of course, we’ll keep you informed all the time through our website.

Has visitor experience changed in the sites that have opened?

In keeping with Health Ministry directives for dealing with the corona virus crisis there are certain restrictions at some of the sites. The restrictions appear as news flashes on the web page of every relevant site.

 

 

How do I cancel my reservation?

Cancellation of visit or change of date: You can cancel your visit up to 24 hours beforehand, Click here

If you’ve already purchased an entry ticket to the site:

Your entry tickets are valid for one year from date of purchase, so you may re-reserve during that period and come to visit. To reserve click here

Cancellation of entry tickets: You may cancel your reservation for entry tickets according to the Terms and Conditions – click here

How should I conduct myself during the visit (Health Ministry directives)?

In addition to signposted directives at the site, you’ll need to follow updated Health Ministry directives to safeguard your health and the health of those around you. In addition, entry is permitted only by reservation.

I didn’t get to the site at all or I was late for my reservation and I didn’t cancel the tickets. What can I do?

Entry to the site is according to the date and time reserved. If you’re late, you’ll be able to enter based on available space.
If you have an online ticket:
Your tickets are valid for one year from date of purchase, so you may re-reserve during that period and come to visit. To reserve, click here

How do we join the Matmon Club, to enter some 60 sites free of charge?

Do Israel Nature and Parks Authority sites meet “purple badge” standards?

They certainly do!

National parks and nature reserves operate according to the “purple badge” conditions set out in the Health Ministry directives.

In addition, entry is permitted only by reservation.

I’ve reserved a visit to a site that’s free of charge. Do I need to go to step 2 – ticket purchase?

No. Sites that are free of charge require only a reservation of time and date and the process ends at step 1.
