Campground reservations in keeping with purple badge rules


The Israel Nature and Parks Authority is happy to host you at our campgrounds!

In order for everyone to enjoy camping under purple badge restrictions, visits must conform to Health Ministry directives and must be reserved online ahead of time.

Directives and rules of conduct at Israel Nature and Parks Authority campgrounds:

Equipment rental:

  • Tents: Tents are not available for rental at the campground.
  • Mattresses: only at campgrounds stating that they offer mattresses for rent. We clean mattresses after use with alcohol wipes. At the moment mattresses can’t be rented through the reservation system, but rather only on a first come first serve basis at the campground.

Camping options:

  • Outdoor camping: Maintain a distance of at least 10 meters between tents.
  • Camping is allowed only in the framework of nuclear families, and a maximum of two families together.
  • “Group tent”: 10–20 campers are permitted in a group tent intended for 50 campers, and a maximum of two families in a joint reservation. In a “big group tent” intended for 100 campers, three “group tent” reservations are permitted: One on the right side of the tent and the other on the left, on condition that a space of at least 10 meters is maintained between the groups.
  • RVs and guest units : Entry doors to guest units must be able to open at least two meters apart. Bedding (including pillows and blankets) and multi-use utensils are not provided at the guest units at this time.

When you arrive at the campground:

  • Payment for camping is at the cashier’s booth. Please bring a credit card.
  • You’ll need to fill out a health declaration and take your temperature before you arrive.
  • Pitch your tent at a minimum distance of 10 meters from other tents, and as directed by campground employees.
  • In the morning after camping: If you remain at the site to visit you’ll need to come to the cashier’s booth by 10 A.M. to have your temperature taken again.

During your time at the campground:

  • Avoid congregating.
  • Wear a mask at all times in public spaces.
  • Do not use the common barbecues at the campsite. In authorized areas you may use your own barbecue that you brought with you.
  • Eating in the campground is permitted only in designated areas and while maintaining a distance of at least two meters between families.
  • Common kitchen:
    • Each family may use only their own personal equipment.
    • Do not prepare food on common work surfaces.
    • Eating is not permitted in the kitchen.
    • Food may be stored in the refrigerators only wrapped in closed bags.
    • Use of the kitchen is restricted to a maximum of four visitors at a time (in smaller kitchens, a maximum of two visitors at a time), while maintaining a distance of at least two meters between families.

Hygiene and social distancing:

  • Maintain a distance of at least two meters from other visitors. Do not congregate.
  • You’ll need to wear a mask at all times in public spaces.
  • The campground has handwashing stations with hand soap, paper towels, and alcohol or alcohol gel dispensers are available at reception, in public spaces and in guest units.
  • Make sure to use only your own equipment as much as possible.
  • Toilets are cleaned frequently and are supplied at all times with soap, paper towels and refuse bins.

How do we reserve space at a campground?

What if there are no results for the campground and date I chose?

If there are no results – all the options you checked are taken. Try to change one of your search parameters (date/type of overnight stay/number in your party) and look again.

How many families can sign up in one reservation?

A maximum of four families can sign up in one reservation.

How do we pay for the reservation?

Payment is at the site cashier’s booth. Your credit card number is taken for security only – if the reservation is cancelled not in keeping with cancellation procedure.

Please note: Direct credit cards are not accepted because the charge is immediately deducted.

How do I cancel my reservation?
What if I made a reservation a few months ago?

Your reservation is still in our system. If you want to come, we’ll welcome you!
If not, cancel it independently by email to the address you received when your reservation was confirmed, and you’ll avoid a cancellation fee as per our
cancellation policy

If I cancel my reservation, will I be charged?

Cancellation of overnight camping reservation up to four business days before the date of your reservation – no charge.

Cancellation less than four days before your reservation date – as detailed in cancellation procedure.

Can we bring a dog into the campground?
Dogs are not allowed in the campground
Is there purple badge authorization for campgrounds?

Yes. We work according to Health Ministry directives. These directives are updated from time to time, in keeping with Health Ministry directives.

May we swim?

Swimming is allowed at some sites in keeping with Health Ministry directives. Follow news flashes on the website and act accordingly when you visit.

May we use the showers?

Common showers may be used in keeping with Health Ministry directives. 

What about a health declaration?
  • You’ll need to fill out a health declaration and take your temperature before arrival.
  • At the entrance you’ll need to fill out a health declaration and have the temperature taken of each person in your party.
  • Person with a temperature of over 380 centigrade will not be allowed to enter the campground. Entry will not be allowed to persons with coronavirus symptoms.

Do not use the common barbecues at the campsite.

In authorized areas your own barbecue that you brought with you may be used.
